Competitive cheerleading coaching

Professional and quality coaching for competitive cheerleading.

Generally, training is carried out in a camp setting, taking into account the wishes and goals of both the club and the participating team. The training aims to develop athletes both as individuals and as a team. The aim is to achieve the goals that have been set for the camp. We apply athlete- and coach-oriented training as required in each situation.

Our camps are generally physically and mentally demanding, but we also take into account the specific level of each team and the age of the athletes.

Spine Performance coaches are experienced sports coaches with a constant desire to learn more about the sport and work towards improving it. Our coaches aim to improve teams and raise the level of the sport, team and athletes. Many Spine Performance coaches have also won prestigious medals. Our camp coaches are selected according to the goals set for each camp. Each of our coaches has a specific area of expertise.

We recommend ordering a set of camps for a team, where each camp focuses on a different theme.

We collect feedback at all our camps, which is taken into account when planning the next camp. Information related to the camps is transferred to other Spine Performance coaches as needed, so that even if a new coach with a different area of expertise takes over at the next camp, they will be aware of the team’s situation, strengths and challenges.

Acrobatics training

The benefits of acrobatics in cheerleading are undeniable, as it helps with developing spatial perception, physics and body control, etc. In addition, acrobatic skills are particularly useful in throws and acrobatic stunts, for example. Self-confidence and control over one’s own body is key in acrobatics and in cheerleading more generally.

The goal is for athletes to engage in the training as individuals, and learn to deploy acrobatic skills in a versatile manner in all their training. Too often, there is fear linked to certain individual or multiple acrobatic moves. This makes practising moves and training risky. Athletes needs to invest in acrobatics training in an active and comprehensive manner, as it can also complement other sports training.

Spine Performance’s acrobatics coaches are trained in artistic gymnastics. Acrobatics and acrobatic training occupy an important position in artistic gymnastics. Spine Performance coaches possess all the latest skills and a wide coaching repertoire to help push athletes forward and develop acrobatic training in cheerleading.

Acrobatics training can be implemented as part of a camp or in a separate individual camp. We don’t implement stunts and acrobatics training at the same camp.

Choreographies

You can order a pre-set choreography for a team or small group from us. In addition, we can assess a team’s own choreography professionally and drawing from our extensive experience.  

Spine Performance employs coaches who have extensive, versatile and constantly developing knowledge of choreographies at all levels. We do not simply fall into old patterns, but strive to develop creative, successful and interesting choreographies.

Lectures

A successful athlete is a whole person that needs to be well in addition to having a broad selection of athletic skills. In addition to sports training, Spine Performance also offers training to coaches, athletes and guardians by means of lectures. 

The interactive lectures focus on active lifestyles, preparing for competitions, self-esteem and self-confidence, stress management, and supporting athletes.

Lectures are organised both during sports camps and separately. We primarily recommend face-to-face lectures, but they are also offered online when necessary.

Consultation services for clubs

A prerequisite for a successful team is prime club activities. Spine Performance offers consultation services for clubs for them to be able to offer activities that contribute to creating healthy teams, coaches and individuals.
