Jenna

‘I started as a cheerleader in 2005. I transferred to the DTC junior team in 2008. In 2009, I changed from the junior to the senior women’s team, the DTC Wildcats, where I competed until 2011. At the end of that year, I found my way to the TSC Renegades (currently DTC Predators) with coed representation, where I competed until 2022. In 2017, I joined FTC Gorillaz as an exchange athlete during the national team season.

I started coaching in 2014 with TSC juniors. I started my career in an advanced-level junior team, which later grew into the club’s coed juniors team. In 2018, when TSC merged with DTC, we stopped TSC junior activities, and during that season I participated in the DTC Tigercats coaching team. The year 2019 kicked off with full speed; I had the honour of starting coaching at Spine Performance, and at the beginning of the year, Heidi and I also founded the DTC coed junior team Rockcats, who I continue to coach to this day. In 2020, I graduated from Varala sports college as a professional coach, specialising in coaching children and young people.

At the beginning of 2023, I also started coaching a coed adult team at DTC, the Predators. I have mainly coached juniors, but I have also coached many other types of teams along the way, from young amateur and competitive athletes all the way to classic athletes.

As a coach, I am determined, goal-oriented, with big dreams, and I go after dreams that seem impossible. I like the idea that if you never try, you can’t succeed, so bravery is an important part of my personality. I think it’s important that athletes dare to and, above all, want to try new things and challenge themselves. And that they dare to take steps forward and sometimes a little backwards in order to learn new things about themselves and how they do things. I am good at skilfully pushing athletes forward, flyer techniques and understanding the technical details of different moves.’
