Nelma

‘I started cheerleading in 2008 and completely fell in love with the sport. Over the years, I have gained experience at every level, both as an athlete and as a coach. I have grown up with Spine Performance since 2015. I started coaching in 2018 and ended my active sports career in 2020.

As a coach, I am open and full of ideas, laid-back, but determined. I see the potential for learning and developing in every situation. I like to think that anyone can learn anything if they have a skilled coach and the athlete is internally motivated to improve.

On the other hand, I also think that having fun is the key to success. In my coaching, I want to focus even on the smallest things and see every situation as an opportunity to have fun together.

I’m a highly creative person. This can be seen in the way I run my camps, for example, in the way that I introduce different ways of playing and competing together as a team. On the other hand, my creativity also comes out in my choreographies and pyramids.

Skill and technique are also among my strengths. I am highly confident, especially in my level 4 skills, in which I feel I am an expert.’
